Glossary

What is a lifetime deal (LTD)?

A one-time payment for permanent access to a product, often sold through deal marketplaces to early adopters.

LTDs bring upfront cash and early users, but those users never pay again and may expect ongoing support and features.

They suit products with low marginal cost per user.

Why it matters when you launch

An LTD can fund an early-stage product, but cap the number sold so you don't carry an unprofitable user base forever.
