About Aiondb

AionDB is a PostgreSQL-wire-compatible multimodal database engine (written in Rust) that unifies relational records, graph relationships, and high-performance vector search in a single query surface. It supports pgvector-style SQL, graph MATCH queries, and vector indexes including HNSW, IVF-flat and product-quantized (PQ) search, plus Qdrant-style JSON filters for tenant/permission/metadata control. AionDB is pgwire/ORM-compatible (Prisma, TypeORM, Sequelize, Knex, SQLAlchemy, Django, psycopg), letting teams use existing ORMs, migrations and tools while adding integrated vector + graph capabilities.

Key Features

  • Unified SQL + graph (MATCH) + vector query surface via PostgreSQL wire compatibility
  • High-performance vector indexes: HNSW, IVF-flat, and PQ with strong recall
  • Qdrant-style JSON filters for tenant/permission/metadata control
  • pgvector-style SQL functions and easy integration with popular ORMs and migration tools
  • Implemented in Rust for a single-engine, self-hosted deployment

Who is this for?

Developers and teams building apps that need combined relational, graph and vector search (semantic search, knowledge graphs, multi-tenant apps) while staying in the PostgreSQL ecosystem.
