About dif

dif.sh stores feature flags and A/B tests as single Markdown files inside your repository. Install a lightweight CLI (npm @dif.sh/cli) with one command and manage holdouts, staged rollouts, segmentation, guardrails and metrics directly in git — reviewable in PRs and versioned alongside code. The file format includes audience include/exclude, variant weights, primary metrics and guardrails, exclusion groups, and human-readable brief/rationale/decision sections. dif regenerates dif/context.json for builds so agents and local tooling can read experiment context; no external dashboard or signup required.

Key Features

  • Feature flags and experiments as single Markdown files in the repo
  • CLI installable via npm; no signup or external dashboard
  • Versioned in git and reviewable in pull requests; supports staged rollouts and holdouts
  • Audience segmentation, variant weights, metrics, guardrails and exclusion groups in file format
  • Build-time context.json generation so agents and local tooling can read experiment state

Who is this for?

Developers and product/engineering teams who want repo-first feature flags and A/B tests managed alongside code.
