About DS4Windows

DS4Windows is a Windows utility that maps PlayStation controllers (DualShock 3/4 and PS5 DualSense) — and even Switch Pro/Joy‑Cons — to a virtual Xbox (XInput) controller so PC games recognize them. Works over USB or Bluetooth on Windows 10/11, lets you remap buttons/sticks, use the touchpad as a mouse, customize lights and battery reporting, save/load profiles, and emulate legacy DS4 versions for compatibility. Originally developed by Ryochan7 and available on GitHub.

Key Features

  • Emulates PlayStation controllers as a virtual Xbox (XInput) controller
  • Supports DS3, DS4, PS5 DualSense, Switch Pro, and Joy‑Cons
  • Button and stick remapping plus profile saving/loading
  • Touchpad mouse emulation and keyboard/shortcut mapping
  • Controller light, battery display and customization; legacy DS4 v1 emulation for compatibility

Who is this for?

Windows PC gamers who want to use PlayStation or Switch controllers with PC games (supports remapping, profiles, and Bluetooth/USB connections).
