About GoReplay
GoReplay is an open-source command-line tool that captures real HTTP(S) traffic from production and replays it against isolated targets to reproduce bugs, perform shadow testing, and run realistic load tests. It supports controlled replay speed, captured request mix preservation, and can validate authentication and session behavior (PRO mode adds TCP session/keep-alive recognition). Installable on servers, it lets teams test with real user patterns to find issues before they reach production.
Key Features
- Capture live production HTTP traffic and save requests for later replay
- Replay recorded traffic against isolated staging/test services at controlled speeds
- Shadow testing to validate new builds against real traffic without impacting users
- Load testing with captured request mix and latency/error measurement
- PRO TCP session mode: recognize keep-alive TCP sessions and reproduce session behavior
Who is this for?
Backend engineers, QA and SRE teams who need to reproduce production bugs, validate staging builds with real traffic, and perform realistic load tests.
