Splitwave
Node-based, real-time audio routing for macOS, Windows & Linux
Free - Free and open-source (no cost).
About Splitwave
Splitwave is a free, open‑source desktop audio router that uses a node-graph interface. Drag in sources (microphone, system audio, a single app, or a file), route them through effects and plugins, and send output to speakers, a recording file, or virtual devices other apps can read. The graph runs in real time and can be re-wired while audio is playing — ideal for streaming, podcasting, recording and advanced desktop audio routing workflows.
Key Features
- Node-based visual audio graph for flexible routing
- Supports sources: microphone, system audio, single app, or audio file
- Wire audio through effects and plugins in real time
- Outputs to speakers, recording files, or virtual audio devices
- Rewire the graph while audio is playing (live changes)
Who is this for?
Podcasters, streamers, audio engineers and power users who need flexible desktop audio routing and live processing.
