About Textmode Overlay
A free, open-source browser extension that converts visible canvas and video elements into live ASCII/textmode art using a WebGL2 overlay. Tune density, glyphs, colors, contours and a reorderable GPU post-FX stack (16 filters). Exports stay local (TXT, SVG, PNG, JPG), settings persist per site, fonts can be uploaded to a persistent in-browser library, and all processing runs locally with no telemetry or accounts.
